Speciality:
Care of Magical Creatures is one of her best subjects, she is also a skilled flyer in all positions but focussed on the chaser role. She also excels in potions as she seems to have a natural talent at the subject, which is something unusual for Jane. She had to work hard to beat her brothers at flying and her love for animals makes it easier for her to keep up the grades in Care of Magical Creatures.
Jane’s favourite spell is Lumos because it brings light in even the darkest of places.

Limitations:
Transfiguration she sees as one of her worst subjects as she can’t seem to control her own animagus form, let alone turning something into something else. She also has to study hard to do well in subjects like History of Magic and Arithmancy but she is willing to put the work in.
Jane’s least favourite spell is Flipendo as she has enough trouble knocking things over as it is.

Personality:
Jane is a happy-go-lucky child with an optimistic attitude and friendly smile. She never fails to help a friend in need as her patience and kindness stand out as her positive characteristics. She tries to be brave when she needs to be, but this can turn into a slightly reckless attitude as she over-estimates herself. Her most negative trait being pride as growing up with five brothers does that to a girl. However, she is a scatterbrain and thus very frequently gets lost in Hogwarts and forgets key points made in class. She also has a tendency to be clumsy and is continuously knocking over things. On a more positive note, she likes to tease people and have a laugh, even the most broody of people (like Vanessa), she opens up to. She tries to do the best she can for everyone whilst working hard and passing her grades amiably.

Appearance:
Jane is fairly small for her age and has an average eleven year old build. Her eyes are a shade of bluey green which creates a stark contrast with her short red curls. She has a round, pink face which is usually framed with a broad and glowing toothy grin.

History:
Jane was brought up in the burrow from birth, surrounded by pure-blood magic and all its fascinations. Apart from her mother, she was the only girl in the household so adapted to playing with her five elder brothers. To her brother’s amazement, she could keep up with them decently, especially when it came to flying. Jane was an adept chaser and her brothers knew to be wary of her skills in that department. She was only six when they learnt not to underestimate her. She was brave and determined.
All her family, starting from the beginning of traceable ancestry, had being adept at the Lion animagus form and it became her major aim once her brothers had all managed. Yet, no matter how hard she tried, she never seemed to be able to control it. It always happened at the worst times, from weddings to fairgrounds. It caused her brothers to have an endless supply of amusement which though Jane laughed it off, she hoped to find someone when she started Hogwarts to help her with controlling her transforming; a transfiguration teacher or animagus, preferably.
Jane all in all loved her family and grew up happy, enjoying life and living it to the fullest. She was the youngest, until a baby boy was born named Artie. Jane was ecstatic to see another family member filling the burrow with sound and laughter, until he hit three, and the trauma started. Her baby brother was ill and there was nothing the doctors could do. That’s all her parents told her. Despite feeling devastated, Jane wouldn’t show it. She played with her younger brother and kept a smile on her face more than the rest of her family ever could. That was the moment she earned their respect more than ever. Little did they know, she had convinced herself that her brother would pull through it when there was no hope at all; he would die and it would ruin her.
Three months after the news, Jane started her first year at Hogwarts and it did her some good to get away and relax. In her first term, she met some amazing friends who she visited often that Christmas; Gramps Jayden, Nana Kasha, Aunt Waycca and Sissy Molly. Christmas passed smoothly and Artie seemed as well as usual, yet the doubt of how long that would last ebbed into her mind. Nonetheless, she decided to start her second term with the same positive outlook as the first and was excited to see her friends once more. (And tease Gramps JayJay on his wrinkles.)
