Care of Magical Creatures Lesson {Tag: Any students} Event number 1

Aladdin had woken up late. He didn't really care about getting to all his classes but he was able to drag himself out to his Care of Magical Creatures class and down to the lawn.

He had his book, skipped breakfast, didn't brush his hair, and was still yawning with droopy eyes as he finally got to class with his robs hanging off one shoulder.

Serenity wasn't with her sister as she was skipping towards Care of Magical Creatures. This was her favorite class since she could learn different things about other creatures. And always loved it when she could correct people on Centaurs. It was a wonderful class. And she was never bored in the that class..

When she entered she saw only one student was in the class.. This made her frown. She didn't like it when people were going to be late for classes. Some people were so lazy it wasn't even funny.

"Good morning Professor Melgrove." She said with a smile as she walked to her and her sister's desk.

Aladdin's eyes opened in shock. His Care of Magical Creatures teacher just deboned and incinerated that Pixy.

That was not normal. He raised his hand.

"Um... Professor? How is this exactly Caring for the Creature?" He asked trying to figure out why she was being so weird.

He looked over at the half Centaur girl that was in his class to see if she knew what was going on. He then looked back at the teacher waiting for an answer.

Emily was late for her first class, she got up late already... She put her school robe upon her pajamas, and lift her hair into a low ponytail... She was hungry, but she rather skiped the breakfast before losing Prof Melgrove's class... She was one of Emily's favorite teachers and the girl always did her best to stand out in her classes...

When Emily finally got at the lawn, the class had already started... She sneaked into the room, and frowed a little seeing the cage being burned... Was that a fire creature, like a dragon or sorta? She looked from the other students to the teacher, hoping she could get the class topic...

Serenity was surprised they were going to learn about Cornish Pixies today. She smiled as she waited patiently for Professor Melgrove to talk about them.

"Today, we will learn how to properly handle these little devils. Cornish Pixies. Rather devious. But there are simple methods to making sure they cannot harm a soul."

Serenity's eyes widened a little bit at what she had just said. Did she really just call them little devils!? Her eyes looked at the others, before she heard a spell being yelled. Which made her eyes go wide.

"Brachium arrmendo!"

"No! Stop!" She screamed, before her eyes widened as she got up from her desk, shaking in horror. "Professor Melgrove, STOP!! Do not harm him!" She shrieked. She had saw there were no longer bones in the little guy's arms.

"Incendio,"

Her eyes widened more as she watched the flame go closer to the cage. And her eyes widened in more horror as the cage lit on fire.

"Stop it!!!" She screamed more, her eyes looked around frantically. Though she then remembered a spell, which immediately made her bring out her wand. "Aqua Eructo!" She yelled as she jet of water flew out of her wand and onto the cage.

Though when the flames were done, she could see some of the Cornish Pixies were really hurt. And the tears started to form in her eyes as she looked at Professor Melgrove.

"What the hell is your problem!?" She asked.

Grace was wandering the grounds absentmindedly, skipping class as usual when she heard a girl scream "What the hell is your problem?" and Grace approached the sound. "This ought to be interesting," Grace thought as she peeked around a tree to see Ms. Melgrove teaching a class. There was smoke in the air and Grace raised her eyebrows, what was burning?

Aladdin was still in shock that his teacher that love magical `creatures so much just tried or may have seceded in killing those pixies.

Was he dreaming? Still asleep? This just didn't make sense. The other girl that was on time put out the fire but he didn't know if the creatures were still alive.

He stood up and moved forward to see if the Creatures were still alive.

Emily's brows furrowed more when she saw the other girl's reaction when she screamed to stop it... Emily didn't know what was going on, but she had a feeling that something was really bad about all of this...
She saw with the corner of the eyes when Grace came closer, but not joined the group. She walked closer to the other students, and studied prof Melgrove for a moment, she looked weird, and Emily couldn't say why. Then she got closer to the cage, there was a few Cornish Pixies if she wasn't mistaken, but they weren't supposed to burn... She remembered of seeing their picture flying on her book pages, ''What's going on?'', she asked shyly.

Aladdin turned when he heard a small voice ask. He didn't recognize her but he knew she was probably too young for this class and in Huffelpuff. He gently took her arm and pulled her lightly away from the burned creatures and put himself between her and the teacher.

He had a number of younger brothers and sisters and he had become instinctive when it came to young kids. His family was also very passionate about family and children.

He turned and whispered to her. "You need to be quite right now. I don't think anyone knows what's going on."

Emily let the other student led her away from the cage, she wasn't sure of what happened, and the curiosity was making her nervous. However she nodded at his words and kept quietly, even when Prof Melgrove started talking again.

Right after Miranda said the first words, Emily knew she was strange, she couldn't hear the kindness on the woman's voice anymore. The woman that once saved her from being hurt by a werewolfe, if it wasn't for her, Emily could be dead, or turned into a werewolfe as well, or maybe not, she wasn't sure if girls could be werewoves too.

She hold her breath when the teacher grabbed one of the creatures, and closed her eyes slightly when she turned it bigger. Emily saw the wounds on its fragile skin, she could see it was suffering. Once prof Melgrove started drowing the creature with her wand, Emily whimpered pleading, ''Stop, Prof Melgrove... That's not like tou teach us!!''

Serenity watched Professor Melgrove in horror when she didn't even payed attention to her question. She looked at the Cornish Pixie, before seeing that the Professor was picking him up.

"Leave him alone!" She screamed as she took a step towards the Professor. "It has done nothing to you! It's trying to protect itself!" She shrieked again, before putting her hands over her mouth when the Professor Engorigioed it. Serenity was watching in horror.. She couldn't believe that Professor Melgrove was doing this. Did someone hurt her to where she wanted to hurt the innocent pixie.

She was starting to see why some Centaurs really hated humans.

Though she jumped a little when the Pixie went to bite the Professor. She then gasped when she put the wand in the Pixie's mouth and said another water spell. And the moment she saw that the Pixie was losing it's life..

Serenity pointed her wand at the Professor fast.

"Expelliarmus!" She screamed, making the wand fly out of the Professor's hand. Though since she couldn't doing nothing else, she walked to the Professor and slapped her across the face hard. Before she took the Pixie from her, and held it in her hands.

Though her eyes widened when she saw the Pixie was no longer breathing, and it wasn't moving. And just like that the tears started to fall as she stared at the creature.

"You killed him.." She whispered, before glaring at the Professor. "You killed him! What kind of human are you!?"

Aladdin's eyes widened as he watched her grab the Pixy.

When the little girl seemed to have her little freak out about the teacher he pulled her back silently against his body keeping her close to him.

He pulled the little brunette girl closer to him as the water pored down the creatures throat. He slowly began backing the two of them away from the teacher that seemed to have lost her mind. This woman had lost her mind and he didn't want this little girl or himself anywhere near this freak.

"There is something wrong with her don't bring her attention to you." He advised. "She might hurt us."

He breathed a sigh of relief when the teacher was disarmed, but he still kept the young girl with him just in case something crazy happened.

The moment the life drained from the creature, Miranda suddenly became very dizzy and stumbled sideways slightly. As she raised her hand to her head, she noted the limp body of the pixie in her hand. She screamed, then spun around, noting the frightened and angry students around her.
"Wha-?" her voice cracked, suddenly full of emotion, of terror and grief but of what she did not yet know.
She dropped the enlarged pixie hurriedly and saw the cage of injured pixies. She ran to it, and immediately dropped to her knees. The creatures quivered in front of her as she drew closer.
"What's happened to them?" she asked to no one in particular. "What's going on?"
She glanced up at the students, the fear clear in her eyes, which were beginning to fill with tears.

"You are what happened! You killed him, and injured the others! You did all of this!" Serenity screamed as she glared at the Professor. Though she was shocked at how the Professor was acting now.. As if she really didn't mean it. But she couldn't help but feel hatred for the Professor right now.

"You drowned this pixie and you burned the others! And I don't know what upsetted you, but you shouldn't take it out on the creatures! It's horrible! And you're suppose to care for them!? I rather a different teacher!" She suddenly yelled.

Grace widened her eyes as she watched the professor harm the pixies. This was unlike her. She watched intently as Ms. Melgrove began to panic at the sight of the harmed pixie and realized smething suddenly. She was under the imperious curse. Shes used it before, for practical jokes and such, but never to make someone harm a living thing. Grace rushed forward and kneeled beside the professor, whipping her head around to see the angry students behind her.

"Shut up! She didn't know what she was doing!" Grace explained heatedly, looking at the professor.

"Professor, whats the last thing you can remember?" Grace asked seriously.

Emily looked at her teacher with frigtened eyes and walked back with the boy as he tugged her far from the teacher... That wasn't the prof Melgrove Emily knew, and she wanted to help her somehow, like the night the professor helped her...

She widened her eyes when she saw the change on Miranda, how her stance and voice returned to what Emily remembered from the last semester.... She got up from the boy softly and ran back to the teacher... She ignored the other student yelling at the teacher, and for the first time she liked Grace's way of dealing with people... ''You weren't yourself, prof Melgrove... but now it's alright'', Emily said shyly, kneeling by her side.

When the young girl moved from Aladdin's arms he watched the teacher carefully. After the girl sat next to the teacher trying to comfort her he moved up be hide the little brunette. He was going to keep close to the girl in case he would need to pull her away if the teacher suddenly went crazy again.

He set his hands lightly on the girls shoulders ready to protect her. In his family you bring great dishonor on your family if you are a man and allow a child to be somewhere dangerous without protection.

Miranda's entire body shook.
"No..." she whispered. "I could never..."

She stared at the lifeless body beside her on the ground and to the injured creatures inside the cage. She could never take a life. She knew that pain all to well. She couldn't break down in front of the students. She couldn't. But her heart was broken and she couldn't do anything but sob.
Serenity's words hit her like a hammer. If she had truly done this, she couldn't begrudge the centaur's anger. Her chest felt constricted, like she couldn't breathe, so great was her grief.

"Professor, whats the last thing you can remember?" Grace's voice somehow penetrated the fog encompassing her thoughts.

"I..." she barely whispered, then the memory hit her. She leapt to her feet. "Death eaters," she hissed. "Death eaters on the grounds. I have to warn someone!"

But before she had even looked towards the castle, she remembered the pixies. "None of you go anywhere," she said to the students. "I'm going to need your help."

She glanced at Emily as she approached her, she tried a weak smile, but knew her eyes were still too haunted. She reached gingerly into the cage and lifted the other two pixies gently into her hands. Their arms flopped next to them. More tears streamed down her face. Their wings fluttered, tiredly.

"We're going to need skelegrow, and burn ointment. I have some in my office. Would any of you help me carry them?" Her voice shook as she looked back at the creatures.

Aladdin sighed and stepped forward. "What do you need me to do? Carry the Pixies? The cage?" He extended his arms to carry whatever she needed. He knew that Death Eaters were vicious, monstrous even. He just wanted to make sure the other woman in the class stayed safe and didn't get hurt.

That's when something his him... "Wait. Were there any other people that were with you other then the Death Eater? Then we need to find out who else could be going these kinds of things."

Emily smiled to the teacher, she wanted to help her, and then she looked up to the boy resting his hands upon her shoulders. She could see he was a Slytherin, but he seemed nice, and she smiled to him too.

When she heard the words Death Eater, she shivered slightly. Emily heard some stuff about them, nothing so much good. ''I can help too...'', she said quietly, hoping she could be useful and make the teacher less sad.

Grace tensed when she heard Ms. Melgrove say Death Eaters. Images passed through her mid of her fathers dead body, and the black cloaks standing over it. She stared for a moment before kicking into action.

"Um, Ms. Melgrove, if death eaters are attacking a few burned pixies are the least of our problems, we need to secure the grounds," Grace said in a serious voice, grabbing her arm to catch her attention. She met her eyes and stared seriously.
