Intelligent Orphans United [[tag Richard]]

Jessica struggled a little as she carried an armful of books, quite messily stacked in her arms, over to the correct book case at the far end of the library. As far away from Madame Pince as possible, she thought to herself. Dropping the books heavily, Jessica paused in a moment of fear, being quite sure that the pile had caused some sort of horrific earth quake. No one came looking, though, and she put the fear out of her mind.

With the books now scattered, Jessica brought out her wand from her pocket and started levitating them to their correct places. The ladders were really far too much effort

It was calm, something he thoroughly enjoyed about the library. It was peaceful and quiet. People were there for one purpose, and one alone. To learn. Dick loved to read and learn about anything he could get his hands on, books? Was just another way to his learning addiction. Unlike a drug addiction it was bad for him... okay maybe sometimes it killed his social skill but books had a better grip on information than most people did anyway!

The lithe teen went to return some books to their proper shelves, hearing a thud he barely thought anything of it... until he saw books flying into random sockets. That intrigued him, normally ladders were the only permitted shelfing technique. He wondered who'd risk something like being kicked out of the library for using spells on books. The acrobat trotted, books in hand, to the area of noise finding a girl there. He plastered on his infamous smile, sneaking up behind her.

"Heya!" He chirped with a beaming smile. He just hoped he didn't scare the girl too much.

Jessica turned her head slightly when hearing the cheery Hiya from behind her, nodding a little in recognition of the boy speaking. She caught a rather strange looking smile on his face, but chose to ignore it.

"Hello there." She paused when the boy didn't immediately leave and turned her head again. "Did you need one of these books?"

Richard shook his head, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Uh, not really... I was just wondering why you were levitating the books back to position. How do you even know where they go?" It was an honest question but it made Dick feels a little stupid about asking it. Some people didn't know he was a gypsy before and had never seen a library. People just mocked him sometimes for questions they seemed beyond him while it seemed common place to even know what things were.

He hadn't known what a fire place was until he lived with Bruce, after all.

"I practically live in here," Jessica said with a shrug, putting another book in its place near the top of the book shelf. "I've been doing this for years anyway. Madame Pince doesn't really notice, whenever she talks about how much effort she puts into organising the library she's lying her arse off."

Jessica paused, taking a moment to look at the boy next to her. He seemed somewhat surprised or at least enthused about her organisation.

"You're in Ravenclaw, right? You should know better than I do where these books go, shouldn't you?"
