Trying To Get Back In the Swing of Things (Tag Kristopher)

It seemed like things were slowly getting back to normal after the whole Imperius Curse thing. Classes were starting to feel normal again, students and teachers were getting the treatment they needed in the Hospital Wing. Of course, just because those things were happening didn't mean that the damage was all healed. People still remembered some of the awful things that had happened. And Belle was one of those people. While some had recovered mentally pretty quickly, Belle wasn't like that. When something bad happened to her, it was on her mind constantly. It had been the same when her cousin had joined the Death Eaters. And now, it was happening again. Such thoughts were circling in her head as she made herself some tea in the Staff Room. Sure, she still acted as cheerful as ever. But she thought about what had happened in the Hospital Wing constantly, and that worried her. She couldn't afford to let these things get to her while she had students to teach and friends to look after. It wasn't professional. She sighed as she sipped from her mug. Things were getting crazier by the minute and she hated thinking so negatively all the time. She was alive, had no lasting injuries, she should be grateful that nothing too terrible had happened to her. But that was easier said than done.

After speaking with Vanessa the previous day, Kristopher had to find out other teachers. Find if his fears were legitimately had or if they were made of pure, vindictive, fiction. Part of him knew the fears were genuine and real while the other, more naive, part of him wanted to say few were effected by this. One could hope... right?

Using a bit forced step, the blonde found himself walking towards the Staff Room. He hoped professors would be there to help them. He just hoped in his heart of hearts that people were there and ready to speak about what was going on that had rattled his entire structure.

And that wasn't easily done.

With a steeled resolve, Kristopher pushed open the door to the Staff room. His eyes looking about. He only saw Belle, currently. He vaguely remembered her from the teacher's party. He plastered on a cheery smile, all too practiced and perfected for reasons well known.

"Hello, miss. It's nice to see someone actually here." Kristopher chuckled, trying to lighten the tense atmosphere.

He could only hope she wasn't as bad off as he was.

Belle glanced up when someone entered the room. It was one of the new teachers. Kristopher, maybe? She thought that was his name, although she couldn't remember what he taught at the moment. At least he seemed to be a little more cheerful than she was. "Please, call me Belle," she said, smiling at him. She had no idea that he was hiding things as much as she was. "And you're...Kristopher, right? I'm a little muddled when it comes to names. Drives my students crazy half the time." She gave a little laugh.

"Alright, Miss Belle." Kris stated with a soft smile. He was trying his best to be his usual happy-go-lucky self. Someone being like that should help the downed morale of the school. He was glad she returned the some what happy look with a smile of her own.

"Yes, I'm Kristopher. It's quite alright, miss." Kristopher chuckled, shaking his head ever so slightly, "Children are hard to please anyway, they'll take any reason to be honest." It was true, after all. Children never seemed to be pleased with anything in their lives.

Belle chuckled a little at Kris's emphasis on her name. She was thankful she had gotten his name right. She hadn't been so fortunate in other circumstances and it had been a bit embarrassing. But Kristopher seemed like a nice guy. Very proper, too. It seemed more men like that were making themselves known around the school, which pleased Belle a lot. "That can be true," Belle agreed. It seemed like no matter what she did, some kids just couldn't be pleased. Belle figured it had to do with being a teenager, or maybe that was just some of the children's personalities. She wasn't sure. "But there are always those that know that everyone makes mistakes, even teachers."

Kris nodded in agreement with his own statement, humming in approval. The brunette some once more, causing Kristopher to raise an eyebrow.

"True, there will always but the pessimist but there will always be the optimist and the realist." Which was true. More often than not that case proved to be true. It also made him wonder about the lack anyone actually being here. The blonde's eyes looked around, blue eyes trying to find something that wadnt there.

"Have you seen or heard anything for the other staff? It seems oddly quiet around the school."

"And which category do you fall under?" Belle asked, looking up at him. "People always called me the optimist of any group. I guess it fits with the Hufflepuff in me." She gave a little laugh. "But they do say that having a positive outlook in life will make things better for you, even live a little longer." She shrugged. "I don't know if it's true, but hey, it couldn't hurt, right?" She shook her head. "Not much. Everyone's a bit busy these days." Of course, that was an understatement. She still hadn't talked to Dean since the incident in the Hospital Wing. Who knew what he was doing with himself these days. She hadn't seen the Minister around since that day either. Probably off doing busy work and what-not. She and Miranda had said hello to each other if they happened to pass by each other, but that was it. They hadn't had a chance to really talk since the whole Imperius curse crisis.
