It was easy to see which students were more athletic than others as soon as the ball went into play. A few of them seemed a little nervous as they approached the ball, but for the most part the students endured the situation.
The small Hufflepuff girl, Emily Castle, managed to get around the older students and scored the first goal.
Both teams managed to score a decent amount of goals, not the number someone would expect from nationally ranked players, but a good number for students. Especially when a majority of them were new to the game.
By the time his watch beeped, signaling the last fifteen minutes before class ended, the score was standing with Team One with 4 goals and Team Two with 3.
Dean was pleased, it was exactly what he wanted, a friendly game, allowing the students to relax on their first day and him a chance to familiarize himself with them.
“Okay, that’s it everybody,” he called walking out towards center field, “You can all head back up to the castle, Class Dismissed.”
