Journey One: Cabin Three [S]

Hiccup said with a smile as he pulled out some lemon drops, "Oh you mean muggle candy. I got lemon drops if you want some."

Emily pouted slightly, but she took the candis that Hiccup gently offered her...
''Thanks, Hic...'' She said smiling shyly, and she put one drop into her mouth, gladyly to taste something familiar.

hiccup said with a smile as Toothless took a lemon drop and tasted it, "I love this type of candy."

''What kind, Lemon drop or muggle candy??'' She asked a bit curious, getting a little more comfortable...

Hiccup said with a smile as Toothless ate more lemon drop making his lips puckered up, "Lemon drops. I love sour stuff but I also like blood pops."

Emily smiled brightly seeing Toothless eating the drops. He was so cute that she giggled a little... She bited her cheek, imagining what kind os taste could a blood pop has, and she leaned back to her backseat, seeing the landscape running throught the window... Then she jumped on her seat, resting her both hands on the window glass.... ''Oww....'' She exclamed amazed. She had never seen such beautiful view.

Moses watched with a crinkled nose as Lemon drops were passed around. "Not big on lemon flavor." he said as he watched them eaten. Even as a child, he didn't like lemons or lemon flavored things. It was just too sour for him. As the conversation went on, Moses blinked and thought of something. "Hey, Emily?" he asked, tilting his head to the side as he watched her look out the window. "You're a muggle-born right?" he asked. The girl seemed so new to many things. True many first years seemed so wide eyed, but she- well hers was a little different. Of course the biggest tip off was when she called muggle candy normal.

''Is it that obvious??'' She asked bitting her lip as she sat down to her spot again... ''Is that a bad thing???'' She wasn't sure how she would be welcomed by the others, since she felt a bit different from them.

"Quite obvious." he said chuckling. "I've seen a lot for first years who get so wide eyed and excited about Hogwarts, but you seemed to have very little idea about the school. That and you called muggle candy normal. For us who grew up in the Wizarding World, or at least had magical influence in some half bloods' cases, candy like chocolate frogs and ever flavor beans are normal for us." As the girl asked if it was a bad thing, he paused before rubbing his chin and giving a slightly sympathetic look. "Well, I don't see a problem with it. And there are many who don't care either. but-" He paused before sighing. She would find out someway. "There are some purebloods, mostly Slytherins purebloods, that don't like muggle borns. They find it... dirty." he said, frowning as he admitted this.

Hiccup chuckled and said with a slight smile as Toothless went on Emily's lap, "Not all purebloods like myself don't think of Muggle-born to be dirty." Hiccup said seriously with a frown, "But as for Slytherins that's another story. Some Slytherins think purebloods who are friends with Muggle-born are nothing but common trash."

"Well you can't say Slytherins, like the whole house thinks like that." Moses interjected. "Though I agree, most of them do, but there are some halfbloods in Slytherin house and they certainly don't. Otherwise it'd be hypocritical of them. So just the pureblood Slytehrins are like that." with that said, Moses rubbed the back of his neck and sighed before looking back at Emily. "But as Hiccup said, not all Purebloods think that either."

She laughed nervously, seeing herself at Moses' description... Then she tapped her forehead remembering the tip Pippa gave her..
''You gave me that tip about the candies, and I simply forgot it'' She said to her friend...
She smiled gently at Hic, and starting caressing Toothless as he came into her lap

''So, correct me if I'm wrong...'' she said to Moses as turned her gaze to him again ''A muggle blood is someone who has no witches related, half bloods have both witches and muggles, and purebloods just witches??'' She tried to catch all the informations Pippa gave her, and some things she heard on her time on the Diagon Alley...

''Those Slytherins look evil... Are they all ugly and old, with big warts on their noses??'' She asked fondly, remarking all the facts she was told about witches on her world.

Moses chuckled a little as he nodded his head. "Yeah, that sums it up. Though there are also those called Squibs. They're from wizard families yet are born with no magic. Pretty much the opposite of a muggleborn." When the girl asked about the Slytherins, Moses bursted out laughing. "That- That is rich!" he laughed out, holding his sides as he leaned over. It took a moment for his laughter to die down, and even then a few chuckles still escaped. "No-no their not like that. Though some are indeed ugly. Slytherins are just other students at the school like you or me." he told her, smiling bright.

"And I suppose not all of them are evil per say. Some are creepy." Another chuckle left his mouth. "The Slytherin house is supposed to be for those who are ambitious and cunning. A lot of politicians tend to be from Slytherin." Moses paused and thought a moment. "Actually, when I put it like that, they are evil." Moses began laughing again at his little joke.

Emily remembered Pippa's explanation about Squibs, since her father was one of them. She felt a little proud that she got all right, but then her cheeks burned out furiously, seeing Moses' reaction...

''Yeah, I know sometimes I split some nonsense'' But then she let herself laughing shyly. Moses's laughes were really contagious...

She heard what he said about her new schoolmates, and she couldn't help but thinking how silly she was...

''I don't like politicians... You need to tell me who they are once we get in the castle" She said smiling brightly....

Pippa yawned loudly and woke up, feeling the train stop. she looked outside the window, grinning eagerly. "Em! look! it's the station! we're here!" she grabbed her friend's hand and her bag and practically ran out of the cabin. she was so excited!

Emily didn't notice the train had stopped. She was having such a good time with Moses and Hic and Toothless, that she only knew she was in Hogwarts when Pippa exclaimed and ran out the cabin....

''Wait for me, Pippa!!'' She shouted back, and slightly straightened her new uniform before crab her bag and ran after Pippa!

"Just look for the Silver and Green, and anything with a snake." Moses said before Pippa exclaimed about arriving at the school. Grinning brightly, he stood up and gave a nod to Hiccup. "See ya at the feast." he said before walking out, watching the two first years run ahead of him. A nostalgic smile graced his lips as he took a look around the train as he walked towards one of the exits.

Hiccup chuckled and said with a smile, "See ya Moses!" As soon as Hiccup got off the train and onto the platform, Toothless was back to his original size and Hiccup said with a smile before Toothless took off, "Okay buddy I'll see you after class tomorrow." Hiccup looked up at the castle and said with a smile after he sighed, "I'm home."
