Gryffindor House Table: The Sorting Ceremony and Feast

Fionn snorted and shook his head in response to Zuko before turning his attention to Scarlet. "hi. I've seen you around but I don't think I've ever actually spoken to you. I'm Fionn Causer" he smiled politely at her

Scarlet was being quiet until Fionn talked to her. She looked up a little and saw his polite smile. She smiled shyly back, "S-Scarlet Nightingale.." Scarlet said softly. She was really nervous talking to both Fionn and Zuko. Due to she never really liked people arguing around her.

Peter sighed and huffed at Fionn stealing Scarlet's attention and sat upside down on his portion of the bench, " .-. "

Zuko turned to Fion, glowering "That's because she doesn't associate with brutes." he growled shaking as he felt his token anger start to get a hold of him, before taking a deep breath and flipping Peter back over "._.; stopit petey youll get a headrush again"

Fionn rolled his eyes and looked at Zuko. "beg to differ" he shook his head and looked back at Scarlet. "Scarlet? that's a pretty name. can you sing?" alright, the last question was rather abrupt, but he was curious because of her last name. nightingales could sing angels from heaven, or so some people said. "I'm not much of a singer myself, but I love listening"

Scarlet looked at Zuko, giving him a pleading look to stop. She didn't want anymore arguments. She then looked back at Fionn and blushed a little at his compliment, "T-thank you." She said before she was caught off guard by his question. Scarlet bit her lip a little, "A..a little." She said softly, feeling herself get even more nervous now. This was the first year she actually talked to more then one or two people. And it was starting to affect her.

If only I was more social in the past years...I wouldn't be this shy..

She thought to herself.

Zuko rolled his eyes, putting his face in his hand and muttering under his breath with a scoff, shaking his head "Really that's the BEST you can do?" he thought in shock at the stupidity of Fion's flirting.

Peter huffed as he was turned over and narrowed his eyes between the boys and their arguing then looked to Scarlet, "That's amazing!" he beamed, "I like to sing! ...mostly Lady Gaga....but I do! ^^ Sing with me?! 8D I"m beautiful in my way, 'cause God makes noooooo mistakes! I'm on the right track babeh! I was BORN this way!" he sang boucing and dancing slightly in his seat.

Akasha sang softly along with the boy Peter, though his shouting the song annoyed her.

After she finished her 2nd goblet, she summoned her book that she was reading on the train, and began to read, waiting for Dumbledore to dismiss them to bed.

Fionn grinned. "I'd ask if you'd show me some time, but you look like you're about to faint. not the most social, are you? it's alright, I'm sure you'll get plenty of friends this year" he glared at Zuko. this wasn't flirting! why did people always assume that?!" he grinned at the red head. "nice pipes kiddo, bet you'll be a great rockstar when you grow up." after a moment's hesitation he nodded at Akasha. "you too. you've got a great set of pipes"

Peter grinned at Akasha singing with him, "Hi! I'm Peter." he held out his hand, "What's yer name?" and blinked at Fionn, "Thanks!"

Zuko blinked at Peter, blinking as he burst out laughing, a genuine smile on his face as he ruffled peter's hair, shaking his head unable to fight the grin now on his face as he went back to his food, actually starting to eat. Turning to Akasha he smiled shepeishly "Hi there, Akasha right?" he mumbled having heard much about her.

Scarlet shook her head, "Not really..And..I hope.." She confessed, before she watched how all three of them turned their attention to Akasha. She decided to do the same thing, smiling politely.

Fionn looked back at Scarlet. "I'm sure you will, no worries there. I like you already and I don't like too many people" he chuckled at her. Just be friendly and smile and people will usually return it" he advised, nodding sagely. "you'll do fine. by the way, what year are you?"

Scarlet was surprised at what Fionn told her, making her smile a little more, "Thank you for the advice." She said, "And I'm in my seventh year." She answered.

Akasha blinked in surprise when everone suddenly started talking to her. She lowered her book and said in her low tone, " Thank you, Causer. And yes, I'm Akasha, Akasha Wynters. You're Gabriel and Ryuu, correct?"

"Call me Peter!" The red head chuckled smiling, "How was your trip here?"

Zuko nodded, smiling softly. "Yes my name is Zuko Ryuu but you may call me Zuko" he laughed pulling Peter into his lap with a smile, hugging him "And you can call him Petey' he chuckled knowing it annoyed Peter when anyone else called him that. Nodding to Akasha he grinned slightly "I met your sister while I was on the train she was.....interesting" he coughed chuckling softly.

Fionn gave her a curt nod. "don't mention it, Wynters" he rolled his eyes at Peter and Zuko. yep, definitely dating. he smiled slightly at Scarlet and sighed. "well, I'm a sixth year..." he shrugged. "why don't you talk to the Hufflepuffs? they're pretty friendly, so you've got plenty of potential friends there!"

Scarlet nodded, before looking down at the mention of talking to other people. Though she looked back up and smiled, "I'll try to." She said, before going back to slowly eating the rest of her food.

Akasha smiled softly at the hyperactive boy. "My journey was fine, Peter. Though I shared my cabin with a snake whose vibes don't sit well with me. How was your journey?

At Zuko's words however, her smile disappeared and she looked at him intensely at him with her eyes stern,n"Sister? What do you mean my sister? What was her name?"

"Snake?!" Peter flailed then nodded, "It was good! Slept through most of it." he laughed.

Zuko grinned, chuckling softly as he rested his chin on Peter's shoulder "She means Slytherine" he mumbled before turning to Akasha and grumbling "I know it was some queen, Nefertiti I think" he muttered more to himself. "She was very.......flirty'' He mumbled blushing just slightly.

Akasha's eyes widened and she stood up, her eyes looking around the great hall wildly for her litle sister. She spotted her the Slytherin table and a growl unintentionally escaped her throat. ' He must have sent her to spy on me!'

She noticed many students were now staring at her, so she sat down, her eyes tinged red and cold. She looked at Zuko, "Thank you, Ryuu, for telling me. I'll deal with her later." She promised, her sharp nails scratching the table.

Zuko jumped at the girls outburst, instantly pulling Peter close protectively and narrowing his eyes. Blinking and relaxing ab it when she seemed to clam down but still keeping his hold on Peter, he nodded. "I'm assuming there is bad blood with you and your sister?" he mumbled looking over at the tan girl.
