Ravenclaw House Table: The Sorting Ceremony and Feast

"Ah, but remember Todd, Brie and I will be the judge of your 'Mad lying-in-the-snow-and-waving-my-arms-around skills'." she said, giving Todd a playful smirk. Her big brown eyes glanced back at Jim seeing is he was still nervous, Evaine's giggled at Todd's comment 'Queen of cute' "Awe Todd your to sweet, but your all so cute and so is Brie." she comment before finishing the rest of her cake. "Now see he calls me Moonie Jim."

"Yes, you and Jimmie over there should get together and.. make pretty snow angels and stuff," Bri said, not even bothering to open her eyes. Todd's shoulder was too comfy to not keep relaxing. "Besides, Ministers of Adorability should.. um.. collaborate sometime, shouldn't they? They DO have the exact same title.

She opened her eyes slightly, the candlelight temporarily blinding her, "Once it starts snowing around here, we're gonna have bunches of winter competitions.. snow angels, ice skating, snowball fights.. but I know I'd win at a couple rounds of snowball fights. I have good aim," she said, smirking, Me and Moonie are gonna be the best judges ever."

Brie then looked up at Todd, a sleepy look on her face. "Hope I'm not hurting your shoulder.. I didn't wanna make it seem like I was bored by laying my head on the table."

Winter was always Evaine's favorite season, maybe because it reminds her of her Father and how things where before his death. She laughed at Brie's comment "I used to be an Ice Skating champ at my hometown but that was years ago, i might fall on my butt now." she rubbed her eyes, awhile yawning a little "Well boys better watch out for Brie during a snowball fight." she said, smirking

"Really? My mom taught me a little bit when everything was normal.. I don't remember much though. Still have her skates with me.." Brieanne liked how she could talk about virtually anything with these three. It made her feel so much better being in her own skin. "Yep.. I can leave bruises, y'know.."

Her face immediately turned red as she realized how dirty her last statement sounded. "..N-n-not like that.." she stammered, obviously embarrased, "..by hitting you with the snowba-- oh, nevermind."

"it was something my father and I use to do, after he died i continue to skate it was the only thing that made me feel close to him. He was the only person who understood me and now he's gone." she said, frowning as she held back her tears. Evaine never liked showing her weakness to anyone, not even to her own family it made her felt weak if she shad tears in-front of people. Evaine couldn't help but to laugh at her sexual comment? "I.. Im sorry Brie." she said, trying to catch her breath.

Jim snorted. "Ministers of Adorability? Sure, we'll be neck and neck with the Minister of Magic himself." He laughed, although he was blushing a bit. He smiled over at Evaine. "Well, Moonie is better than HuggleBear Sleepyhead. It makes me feel like something cuddly and cute."

"Yeah, snowball fights are a must," he agreed. "Maybe we can go against some of the other Houses with Bri as our general. She will lead us to victory!" He raised his fist into the air like a revolutionary before he started laughing again. "Never been ice skating, though. Always thought it was kind of a...girly thing." He looked over at Evaine, noticing she looked upset. It seemed like the subject of her father was touchy for her. Jim's own parents had told him a few times that he was lucky, that a good portion of kids his age had lost their parents to Death Eaters. He was about to try to say something consoling, but Evaine started laughing again and he smiled.

Todd smiled, reaching to grab a goblet of juice and trying not to jostle Bri's head as he took a sip. "So," he said, clapping his hands together once and looking around at the rest of them. "We've already got our winter activities set up - Bri will be the one bruising all of us, as she would have us believe; Moonie will be kicking our butts in ice skating; and Jimbo and I will be making pretty angles in the snow."

He glanced down at Bri when she spoke about hurting his shoulder and he shook his head with a small smile. "Not at all - though you might wanna go to bed pretty soon after Dumbledore releases us. You look exhausted."

Brie laughed at Jim's revolutionary stance, rubbing her eye vigorously afterwards, "General Brie, at your serrrrvice!" she proclaimed, looking over at Evaine as she spoke about her father. The more she heard about Death Eaters killing family members, the more guilty she felt. SHE herself wasn't one of them, but her uncle was -- and her failure to stop him made her equally as guilty in her eyes.

"Winter's the best season," Brie exclaimed, sighing romantically, "Hot chocolate and cuddling and blankets.. I love chocolate, anyway. It's my favorite." She looked up at Todd when she said she looked exhausted, "Yeah, I am going to bed when he releases us.. and thanks for politely saying I look horrible," she joked, cracking a smile.

Evaine placed her hand over her forehead as she calmed down from laughing, she couldn't remember how much she laughed like that in a long time it felt like an eternity to her. 'I haven't been happy like this in years, why haven't i tried talking to them before?' She thought, smiling at them she never imagine that three people could break threw her shell that she had put up for seven years, and become friends with her within a day. Thinking she was hearing Jim about her nickname Eva blushed deeply 'did he say something about cute? I must be hearing things.' "So your calling me.. Cute?" she asked, biting her lip

"We'll have to go Honeydukes sometime and get some chocolate," Jim said. "I'm a bit partial to it myself, especially if there's peanut butter along with it." If Jim's mother ever wanted to butter him up, she always made chocolate-peanut butter balls. She knew they were his favorite sweet.

"Um..." Evaine's question made him turn red. "Well, apparently, they think we're both cute since we're the...Minsters of Adorability, or...whatever it was they called us," he said, jerking his thumb towards Brieanne and Todd.

"Hot chocolate sounds good right about now." Evaine said. "Yeah Winter is the best but I'm not in the hole romantic deal, when it comes to it." she sighed, that was the one thing she hated about winter. Looking back over at Jim she wondered if he was trying to avoid telling her if she's cute 'maybe he thinks I'm not,' she thought, he was very cute to her "But I'm asking if you think I'm Cute"

Brie shrugged, looking at Jim and Evaine, "I'm not into the whole romance thing either.. well, considerin' my sitch and all. We're both trying to get out of it.. hopefully I'll be un-engaged soon. Sooner than later.. never hadda boyfriend, so I wanna experience the phases of a relationship on my own.."

'Cause I'm curious..' she thought, grinning to herself. She saw how Jim and Evaine were blushing and she whistled like a bird, "Do I spy potential lovebirds with my two brown eyes?" she teased, giggling afterwards, "Mr. & Mrs. MINISTER OF ADORABILITY!"

Todd grinned at Jim and Eva, extremely delighted by their blushing and fumbling with their words. They seemed like a good potential couple, after all, and they both obviously got along. "Mm, well if he's tryna get out of it too, it's gotta end sometime, right?" he suggested.

"Not just the ministers of adorablity...The king and queen, alas!" Todd exclaimed, smirk laced across his face. His eyes widened when she joked about him saying she looked horrible. "Bah, not at all. Simply a teeny bit less radiant than usual," he muttered with a grin.

Jim bit his lip, feeling pressure from all sides of him. He felt his palms get a little sweaty. Getting so nervous made him feel annoyed with himself. Couldn't he try to at least act normal for once? "Um...sure. I mean, you've got...a nice smile...and...you're friendly and...stuff." He swallowed, wishing a hole would pop up from under him and suck him down. "I haven't exactly been...lucky, in the...relationship department." Most of the girls here thought he was creepy anyway, even if he thought some of them looked pretty. He was a teenage boy, after all. He was at least attracted to girls. But actually making a move on them, that was something he would never do because he knew the outcome: rejection.

Evaine's face turned bright red from Brie and Todd picking on them "Stop it's not funny and we're not lovebirds Brie. Jim and I are.. friends..' she said hiding her face wanting them to stop picking on Jim and her. "what you think i have a nice smile?" she spoke, uncovering her face looking at the blushing, cute, nervous, Jim she liked. She frowned hearing him say he wasn't lucky when it come to relationships, "But how come Jim, your sexy... I mean hot.. ummm." her face turned bright red again, biting her lip she hid under the table feeling embarrassed, why did Brie and Todd had to pick on them 'Did I just call Jim sexy...

Brie grinned at the two, wondering what was gonna be said next. 'This is adorable,' she thought, looking at the both of them from her head's position of Todd's shoulder. She raised an eyebrow at Evaine when she told them to stop, looking offended, "I'm helping you plan out your future, Moonie! And you want me to stop?! Impossible!"

She looked at Evaine hiding under the table, shaking her head, "Come out from under there, love! It's not that embarrassing! It's like me calling Todd sexy. I mean, his nickname's Sly anyway, but it's still a good thing, and it's nothin' short of true!! Same goes for Jim!
Now come from under the table.. mind your head!"

Brie smiled at Todd's uttering, going up to his ear and whispering in it, "The slightly less radiant girl thinks you're really sweet.. and that was super sweet of you to say. You're just oveflowing witth sweetness and bodaciousness," she finished, chuckling.

Jim just blinked when Evaine tripped over her words and ended up calling him "sexy." He reached for his goblet and gulped down some more pumpkin juice, hoping that it would help get rid of the blush on his face. Jeez, first cute, then sexy, what would he be called next? What the heck did people see in him? Maybe he would get used to it eventually, but right now, his face was practically a permanent shade of red. Brieanne seemed pretty cool about it though, and that helped him feel a little better.

"Whoever knew I was so highly thought of," he muttered to himself, smiling a little.

Evaine crawled out from under the table, she sat back down "Sorry im not use to people picking on me like that." she said, rubbing her forehead she thought what an idiot she was being. Tripping over her words, hiding under tables? What was she five? 'now Jim thinks im weird.' she thought, why couldn't be like the other girls in the school or even Brie. Taking her headband off Eva rest her chin against the palm of her hand. closing her eyes Evaine was ready for bed,

"Picking on you?" Brie exclaimed, pouting, "I wasn't picking on you, dear.. just trying to help you both get over your blushie faces. Blushie faces have gotta go after a while," she said, nodding her head sideways since her head was still on Todd's shoulder. She wondered why he hadn't minded, bjt she would contemplate that later. "I can see by your face, Jim.. you're excited that Moonie called you all these great adjectives. Now.. you return the favor. Tell her what you think of her. Go," Brie said, smiling.

Wait, since when had she been sucha LOVE DOCTOR?

"Oh no, no don't pout, Im sorry." Evaine said feeling bad, sighing she heard what Brie said "well I have to get use to you can Todd calling Jim and I, Mr and Mrs, King and Queen of adorablity." she giggled, looking over at Jim seeing that his face was even more redder than before . "Sorry Jim but I have to agree with Brie, so come on tell." Eva said, with a playful smirk

Todd chuckled, unsure if he should be goading Jim or helping the poor guy out. He did seem to be getting along with 'Moonie' quite nicely, though, and he was sure they'd eventually get over their embarrassment. "Yeah; you guys have to get out of your shells someday, hm? There is going to be a lot of blushing and stuttering down that long, narrow path," he mused.

He glanced down at Bri and grinned, nodding to show he'd heard, ears turning a bit red, though that wasn't visible beneath his hat.

"Oh no what are you two planning." Eva said, her brown eyes glances over at Todd raising her eyebrow. Where they trying to play mach maker, sure Evaine had a crush a Jim ever since she caught him flying but thought it went away like most crush do at times. Evaine looked up when she realized it was time to bring everyone to their dorms 'it's about time.' she thought, "I guess we have to wait for Jim to say what he thinks of me tomorrow." she giggled.

Brie smiled at Evaine, looking up at Todd quickly before speaking to her, "Yes, you're gonna hafta get used to it.. the nicknames gonna stick. For good."

She nodded when Todd said they'd get over their embarrassment, the girl reaffirming his statement, "Todd's right. There's gonna come a time where you both won't be so.. shy. Everything will work out, and you two will be buddies.. close little buddies," she teased, giggling.


She looked over the span of the Great Hall, seeing that it had emptied, "I guess it's time to head to the dorms.." she said, gazing up at Todd, "I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep on your shoulder.. it's really comfy."

Todd glanced down and smiled, shrugging the shoulder she didn't have her head on. "That's probably because I'm a mutant half-human, half-pillow hybrid. No biggie," he grinned. He heard everyone jostling around behind them and saw that everyone was leaving.

"Hmm...well, then, ladies and gent, I think I'll be off to bed. It's been a tiring day - especially since friendship makes me sleepy. I'll catch you guys later, though I'll probably be bumping into you people soon in the common room or something," he said, rising from his sitting position and doing a kind of bow. "I'm gonna go ahead of the crowd to avoid annoying first years. I bid you all goodnight!" With that, he turned and strode off toward Ravenclaw Tower.
