Potions Class: Day One (Ravenclaws and Slytherins)

Things happened so fast, all Jim would do was wonder how the hell it all started. Leroy was pulling on Evaine's arm, Larissa was threatening him, everyone was yelling insults at each other. Although it seemed like Todd had set Larissa straight, somewhat, and Brieanne had taken care of Leroy without even shooting a spell. Poor Evaine looked like she was about to break down. Jim put an arm around her, hoping she would be okay. "That asshole," he muttered. "If he does something like that again, he's getting hexed. I don't care if there's a teacher in the room." Luckily, things seemed to be settling down again, but who knew when things would blow out of proportion again. He saw that somebody new had joined them, a blonde girl named Valerie, and she was saying hello to everyone. "Hey," he said, giving a little wave. But his mood was still sour from the fight earlier. Although Brieanne seemed to be in an awfully cheerful mood. "Well, someone's having a good day," he said, smiling a little.

Val just shrugged her shoulders "Nice meeting you too Brie." she gave her a small smile before speaking again "Same as it was three years ago, nothing new to me." she said for her it was just another normal day in Hogwarts. the Blonde sat her book down looking at the Slytherin Boy "what's his problem."

Aileen was a little amazed that Sinbad did nothing towards her, not even say a word. She was a bit thankful, but was also a little miffed. but now was not the time to be focusing on ex's. They were just former pawns used by her family. Focusing back on Leroy, she giggled at his words. "Well then this will be a breeze for you." she said. She wasn't horrid at charms, more like average. So it was always good to get the smart ones to help her out.

"I myself am exceptional at charms as well." she said, her eye lids drooping to come half-lidded. With a slow and flirtatious smile, she leaned in a little close to the other. "If we're brewing today, want to be partners?" she asked, titling her head ever so slightly.

Evaine was still quiet as like her mind was somewhere ells, not only didn't she hear everyone in the room talk, she didn't see a new comer sitting by her talking to her friends. Evaine slightly Jumped feeling someone's arm wrapped around her, at first she thought it was Roy again, smacking the hand away she saw it was Jim. Her eyes sadden as she laid her head on his shoulder closing her eyes "Im sorry." she tried speaking. Brie seemed happy she must have been drink yet again but for the moment a little cheering up could help at this moment. Lifting her head up she looked at Him's blue eyes as Roy Comment telling Jim that Eva's isn't worth trying to date. "I want out of here." she mumbled bearing her head in Jim's shoulder, holding her stomach.

Our of the Corner of his eye he saw Evaine cuddling with the ravenclaw boy 'tch he's not even all that looking.' he thought, telling she liked the boy by the way she looked at him it made him sick. She doesn't need to be happy, feel love after what she did to him, he smirked speaking "Evaine isn't worth trying to date, she's useless but your welcome to mess with her if you know what i mean." Roy turned his action back toward Aileen "sorry about that love, now where was we, oh right charms. Mind telling me if you ever charmed someone besides your beauty my dear?" he chuckled a little before seeing her leaning in closer. Roy had a small grin upon his face then she asked if he wanted to be her partner "Sure thing love, I would love to be your partner."

Jim's eyes narrowed at Leroy's comment. He wondered if he could chuck his cauldron across the room. Leroy was kind of far away, but who knew, maybe cauldrons were very aerodynamic. But Evaine looked exhausted, poor thing. If Jim and Leroy got into a fight, she'd probably have a complete meltdown. Or pass out. Or both. It seemed like a physical fight wasn't the best way to go right now. "Did you hear something, Eva?" he asked, cocking his head in Leroy's direction. "Almost sounded like an annoying little mosquito. Didn't Professor Smith teach us how to turn textbooks into flyswatters last year?" It was probably a stupid move on his part, but Jim wasn't the one who could ignore bullies very well. If they threw an insult at him, he threw one back just as fast.

Todd nodded politely to Valerie, offering a smile as she greeted them all. "Mmm, I don't think he has one specific problem. All the Slytherins in the room at the moment seem to be a pretty big problem in themselves." His eyes flicked up at Brie as she hugged himself and Jim. "Ah, the social benefits of alcohol," he muttered, flashing her a grin before stretching his jaw in a yawn. He didn't like the way the other house was treating his friends, but jumping up and starting a fight wouldn't solve anything. At least, that was his thinking until Jim spoke up.

He smirked rather widely, proud of his friend for sticking up on Eva's behalf. He watched, deciding only to intervene if the 'Leroy' fellow decided to lash out.

There was that would again useless she wished for something to happen for them to get out of class, 'your welcome to mes with her in you know what i mean.' what did he ment by that, sexual? or just messing with her head making her think Jim loves and cares for her, shaking that thought out she snugs up against Jim she comfy pillow she smiled a little being in his arms, hearing his comment he gave to Roy, Evaine giggles but stopped not wanting Roy to hurt Jim "shu, Jim i don't want him hurting you.." she spoke frowning up at him,.

Brie chuckled at Jim's statement about her being in a cheery mood, "Well, Jimmykins, somebody has gotta be," said the girl, looking over at Todd as he made a comment, "Hey, Toddy, that's not nice," she said, pouting, "You'd be a social butterfly too if you hadda couple o' shots a' firewhiskey, too! Makes my day a lot better, a bit of drinking does."

Brie sat down, looking at the floor, "It's m'birthday Tuesday.. dunno what I wanna do. I just might forget," she muttered, having the mentality that her turning a year older was nothing more than just another day, "..Anyway, Evaine honey.. you need anything? Chocolate would make you feel better.. at least, I think it would. Want some?"

"I've been bullied for years Eva, remember?" Jim asked, acting pretty casual about the whole thing. "A hex and a punch in the face isn't gonna kill me. Besides, if I manage to get a hit on him, it'll be worth it." And he meant that. If anybody messed with his friends, they were going to have to deal with Jim.

He looked towards Brieanne. "You're birthday's coming up soon? I say we have a party, a little something in the common room to celebrate. It's pretty easy to swipe food from the kitchens. We can get some stuff to pig out on."

"I wont give a flying flip if you where bullied for 100 years Jim, I don't want him hurting you." she snapped at him not meaning to she covered her mouth looking down "I didn't mean to snap at you like that Jim, I just don't want anything bad happening to you, and if you want to hit him wait until he's at the Quidditch Pitch, Roy can't fly to save his life." she whispered in Jim's ear then laid leaned her head back looking at Brie "Chocolate?" Eva tilt her head then held her hand out "Please you found my weakness." she smiled at her then her smiled widen "On yes yes party!" she jumped round being back to her chipper self. Yet sadly she started feeling dizzy as she fell on her butt "ahh I need sleep." she growled.

"You better lesson to your pet there Jimmykins." he said mocking his nickname "No way can you lay a hand on me and what you trying to be her knight in shinning armor?" he gave the boy a devilish grin, twirling his wand he looked over at the group "If you want to settle this we could finish this 'chat' outside the castle, then i'll show a weakling like you not to mess with me. Now i have a lovely lady to attend to brats."

Todd blinked at Bri's announcement of her birthday. "Uh...Bri? that's kind of something you gotta tell your friends, capiche? Totally mandatory. Now I've got to throw together an elaborate present and Eva's apparently gonna plan a party or something and ughhh. You may be drunk, but have a sense of timing, will you?" he teased lightly.

His attention was soon snatched away, though when he heard Leroy taunting Jim and Eva. Oh, how he hated egotistic jerks. His gaze hardened into a glare as the Slytherin boy spoke.

Perseus gave a soft chuckle, looking down at Larissa. "I noticed," he replied, "and the lesson wasn't much to miss, anyway." Perseus paused for a moment, remembering the boggart and glancing to Proteus, then shaking his head and turning his attention back to his cousin. He saw the usual expression on her face, and read the awkward feeling she always experienced underneath. Of course she felt that way, given their situation... He opened his mouth to respond, when suddenly Aurora came in and sat next to her. He noted the two girls' legs brushing a little too closely, then pursed his lips at the look Aurora gave him. He rolled his eyes, then'turned to Proteus, who simply gave him a 'Just leave it alone,' expression. "Well, I see you two need catching up on," Perseus said with a dark chuckle, eyeing them for less than a moment, then turned to return to his seat.

What in the bloody hell?

It seemed as though quite a bit of drama decided to burst up from the students, as several simultaneous arguments broke out between many of the others. Perseus and Proteus eyed each other, then the green-cloaked twin took his seat once more, listening in on the arguments and conversations to keep his mind off of Larissa and Aurora. Several minutes passed as he wondered why the hell the professor wasn't taking control of his class, when he suddenly heard Larissa's voice, and it sounded... insulted. Immediately, Perseus stood and turned to the culprit who had unintentionally insulted Larissa, but an insult was an insult. He opened his mouth to say something, taking a step toward his cousin.

Proteus stood up halfway, grabbing his twin's arm and pulling him back to his seat. When Perseus turned to him with a questioning expression, Proteus pointed as Sinbad entered the room, shaking his head at Perseus. Sinbad had already had it covered. Perseus pursed his lips once more, then let out a sigh and sat down in his seat, rather agitated. Proteus was right, though. On the first day or school, it was never good to get into conflicts. DADA had been bad enough, and Proteus already knew Aurora wasn't too fond of them, at the moment.

Many more students entered the room, and the twins were silent, as they had been in the last class, waiting, patiently only on the surface, for the class to begin. Perseus couldn't help but tap his fingers on the desk, his other hand hidden within his cloak and holding his wand as he yet again contemplated casting Silencio, just to get everyone to shut the hell up, much like Sinbad's partially-effective fist-to-the-desk technique. Proteus had to stop from rolling his eyes at the new Slytherins that had entered the room. They weren't exactly modest, where they?

Perseus looked to Leroy, someone that he didn't know well, but knew enough about. He turned to him, having noticed his vendetta against Evaine had nearly caused an outright fistfight. He held his tongue, for the moment, attempting to decide whether to side with him or Evaine.

Brieanne half smiled at the trio, handing Evaine a bar of chocolate from her bag as she spoke, "It's not that big of a deal, you guys. Only my 18th. I'll have a billion more," she said, suddenly wishing she hadn't mentioned the day at all.

Upon hearing Leroy speak, Brieanne's left eye started to twitch, and she whipped her wand out of her pocket, turning around, "Mm kay, I'm guessing my words didn't appeal to your bird brain before. So, in your ignorance, let me make this perfectly clear."

She walked towards him, an malicious look very unlike a Ravenclaw in her eyes, "I don't fight people like you for no reason. I'm known to be particularly unstable in situations such as this one. Maybe even uncontrollable. So, Mister Eliton, you might not want to stick your snobby ass in our conversations again, or I'll give you something to stick up your ass. We're Ravenclaws, you're Slytherins. Keep. Out. Of. Our. Business. And, besides, I'd rather not waste 5 seconds of my life wiping a Hippogriff's behind with your face. Are we clear, pretty boy?"

Brieanne glared at him for quite some time, keeping her wand at the ready just in case he decided to retaliate.

Larissa slid into the seat Sinbad directed her to with his arm around her waist, when they were comfortably sat, she noticed she was now on the row next to Proteus and Perseus and much further away from Aurora than she liked. She bit her lip to stop herself frowning and smiled up at her brother, he had saved her some hurt pride back there.

"Thank you Sinbad," Rissa nudged him playfully, out of the corner of her eye, she tried to keep an eye on what the twins were up to. It was then she heard Brie from across the classroom, that was why she loved Brie. She said what she thought and was fearless about it, although she should be siding with the Slytherin, she certainly got some small amusement and respect for her good friend as she told the Slytherin male exactly what she thought.

Roy slam his hands on the desk as he glared back at the Ravenclaw girl who was starting to be a pain to him "Look I don't give a care in the world what house your from, I find you to be a pain and Evaine is mine so you can't tell me what to do. I can care less if your older than me." he said

Jim blinked, surprised at Evaine's vehement reaction. But as she calmed down a bit, he saw that she did look pretty tired. He knew the feeling. "Hey, did you get enough sleep last night?" he asked, rubbing her arm a bit. Although the conversation soon got interrupted when Leroy started talking again.

"If I'm the knight, then you must be the king's unfunny jester," Jim retorted, glaring at him. "Or the town fool. Your choice." He gave a little shrug, as if the whole thing didn't matter to him. "Oh, you want to take me on outside? And here I thought you'd love to beat me up here so you could show off to the crowd. Looks like I don't know you so well after all." He gave a laugh, feeling a little bolder than usual. Maybe it was because he had an actual purpose this time instead of just being a smart-aleck for the heck of it. He kept his arm around Evaine, feeling like he could take anyone on for her if he had to. But it looked Brieanne beat him to the punch, getting up in Leroy's face and brandishing her wand. And man, was she threatening. Jim whistled, impressed. Although Leroy didn't seem entirely fazed by it, and he still thought that Evaine belonged to him like some kind of pet. "What are you gonna do, put a leash on her and call her Fido?" he retorted, standing up, hands curled into fists. "Get a quill and write 'Property of Leroy' on her forehead? That kind of behavior is reserved for slave traders, not teenagers in a wizarding school. Get with the times."

Roy rolled at eyes at Jim's comments sure he was calling Roy names it's not like he bothered to come up saying that to his face, seeing the boy stand up after calling Evaine his, he grinned "Here come's Jimmykins to save the day, Oh i'm so scared. What's the matter did i hit a nerve because i called your little girlfriend mine? Ive known her longer than you have Jimbo." he said, laughing he placed one arm on the table "You don't have the nerve, your weak and Eva is a broken peace of trash. I don't know what you see in that girl on wait, never mind it's right there standing acting like the mighty hero himself. Weaklings, i would say you can have her but tch.. Like i said she's broken." he said rubbing his chin as he eyes Evaine who looked like hell. "Again Man i don't know what you see in that. She's just a waist of time."

Brieanne's sanity snapped when Leroy spoke again, raising her wand and nearly hissing, "Furnunculus!" As his skin broke out in red, enflamed boils, the malicious intent in the girl only grew stronger. Still not satisfied, she got closer to the boy, glaring evily at him, "I could kill you right here, right now in broad daylight. I just don't give a damn. I'd much rather watch you suffer at my hands instead. You're much too pampered and childish to be put in the ranks of ANY HOUSE, much less Slytherin."

Purposely stopping her statement, Brieanne smiled as she raised her wand again, casting a fully effective Conjuctivitis Curse, smiling as she saw that it had reached Leroy's eyes. As if nothing had happened, she sat down, staring off into oblivion.

(OOC: DRUNK!AGGRESSIVE!BRIE = <3 And btw, the second curse she cast causes great pain to the eyes. XD)

"Knowing her longer doesn't mean you know her better," Jim argued as he made his way past Evaine and started walking towards Leroy, hand gripping his wand tightly. "And your so-called definition of 'broken' might change once I finish with you." Of course, wizard duels weren't Jim's specialty, but he was just so mad, he wanted to shoot Leroy with every spell he knew. Or at least punch him in the face. But Brieanne was faster, whipping out her wand and hitting him with not one, but two spells, leaving him totally helpless. And she walked back to her seat as if she had just finished performing a spell in a Charms class. Jim blinked, surprised. This was a side of Brieanne he hadn't seen before, and he wasn't sure if he should feel awed or scared. But it looked like Leroy wouldn't be talking much the rest of class, so he headed back to his own seat, his arm wrapping around Evaine again as if it was a reflex.

Evaine rubbed her eyes "Um no not really." she said, yawning a bit smiling a bit feeling Jim's soft skin, sadly Roy opened his mouth once again she looked back at Jim. 'don't do anything stupid.' she thought as he comment back to Roy, she couldn't help but to laugh Jim was pretty funny of what he was saying to Roy. Knowing Roy didn't like being called names she worried about what will happen if Jim is alone and Roy is there, the thought of that scared her but Jim seemed like he could take care of himself the way he sounded. Seeing brie stepping in she never seen this side to Brie was is pure anger or with the help of her being drunk? Who knows, and who cares Brie was giving him a peace of her mind, to tired to cheek for Brie she just giggled. 'she's mine.' he stated, Jim got up from his seat, Eva leaned to grab his shirt for she didn't want them to start a fight in class "Jim.." she cried. As both Roy and Jim where arguing Eva saw Brie coming up with some plan 'please help jim.' she thought. ' i called your little girlfriend mine, Eva is a broken peace of trash.' Eva bit her lip this wasn't going to end well at all.

Seeing that Jim was beyond pissed at this point "Jim please I'm begging you, don't do anything stupid." the 15 year old cried out, why wasn't the teacher doing anything about this. Before Jim could do anything brie was quick on her feet casting two spells on Roy, covering her mouth Eva had a small grin it was funny seeing him being owned by Brie. "Brie you are my idle." she said smiling at her but didn't know if she was still pissed or not. Sighing in relief Jim sat back down next to her warping his arm around her "Are you crazy or trying to prove a point there." she asked looking at him.

Quickly remembering that Mudd-blood, Roy was still holding his want "Expelliarmus!" he was able to block one of the spells but he got cocky and didn't see the other one coming as it hit him in the eyes burning them, "you stupid mudd-blood." he said sitting back down

Aurora was taken by surprise as Sinbad pushed her away. But she recovered herself. What could she expect from him, he disliked most of the people here. As Larissa took her hand Aurora gave her a smile. Not listening to the argument any further, she took place at an empty table sitting there alone, she sighed. Where were Jason and Don anyway?
Jumping a little at Sinbad's slam. She rolled her eyes, that boy was more than annoying already.
As she saw how Larissa was lead away. Aurora sighed laying her head on the table.
Only hearing people shout at one other. Where was the teacher? Wasn't his job to educate his students?
Instead of letting the students kill one another.
Aurora sighed again. Just waiting in silence now as she put her hands beneath her head.
