Potions Class: Day One (Ravenclaws and Slytherins)

Brie twitched as that derogatory term slid out of Leroy's mouth.

Mudblood.

With all sense of the normal Brie gone, this side of Brie was terribly maniacal and fearless, much like what her uncle had pumped into her all those years. She stood up again, going back to Leroy's desk and sitting down on top of it, death staring him in the eye.

"You dare to call me a Mudblood? In my eyes, YOU are the filth. Fogging up the world with your idiotic pretenses, begging for someone to give you glory you don't deserve. I know more about you insolent haughty types of Purebloods than you'd think I would. So, let me reinnerate this: Call me a Mudblood again," she growled, all hints of warmth and light gone from her eyes, "and you will never see Hogwarts or the light of day from that day on. Understand?"

She then took her seat again, glaring at Leroy still.

Todd's muscles tensed when he heard that word slip off the Slytherin's tongue. He was about to leap angrily to Bri's defense, but she was quicker. She'd already threatened and stared down Leroy before Todd could do a thing. He relaxed when she came to sit by them once again, approval clear on his features. It seemed she coukd take care of herself. He put a hand on her shoulder and squeezed, hoping to help douse her anger. "Impressive," he murmured under his breath. His gaze remained on Leroy, though. He decided on the spot that he wanted nothing to do with the Slytherin boy - except maybe a punch in the face, that is.

Mudblood? Jim's eyes narrowed. That was a dirty word to throw around at Hogwarts. If any of the teachers heard a student saying it, they were usually given detention on the spot. Brieanne had a stern word with Leroy though and it seemed to settle the matter, unless he decided to say something else. Or someone decided to come to his defense. But it looked like the other Slytherins were content to let him battle Brieanne alone. Maybe Leroy wasn't though of very highly by everyone and not just people who weren't Slytherins. Brieanne looked like she could take on a whole army if she wanted to, but it looked like Todd was trying to calm her down a little bit, which Jim thought was a good idea. Sure, it was good that she was sticking up for her friends, but she looked like she was about to blow something, or somebody up, and that probably wouldn't be good for her school record.

Evaine rolled her eyes at Roy when will this guy learned to keep his mouth shut, no telling what Brie would do next. As Todd was attempting to calm brie down, Evaine laid her head on the desk to get some sleep before the teacher finally starts the class before more chaos happens. "I could sleep on your shoulder but Roy already called me your girlfriend and i don't need people thinking we're a couple." she said looking at Jim "Wake we up when the teacher stops playing with his rat." Evaine yawned, closing her eyes she started falling asleep,

Perseus watched with silent amusement as the arguments and threats went on. He couldn't help but think of how idiotic Roy was truly being, messing with a girl that was clearly still drunk. Although he knew Roy really didn't care. As Brieanne suddenly whipped out her wand and shot two spells, the blondes both went a bit wide-eyed, both tensing up as the first ricocheted away from Roy, but the second, not so much.

"Maybe he'll learn to shut his screaming howler when he wants to get hurt less," Perseus chuckled to his twin.

"Hm," Proteus mumbled in reply, crossing his arms over his chest as he began to relax a bit, adjusting the collar of his cloak and looking to Professor Kan. Why in the world wasn't he interfering? Surely, those spells had done a bit of damage to his classroom... But he seemed quite preoccupied with that rat of his. Oh well. At least he and Perseus weren't going to get in trouble if anything serious happened.

That word still rang in Brie's head as she sat there, her anger raging. 'How dare he call me that..' she fumed, her fists balled up so toghtly, she thought she drew her own blood. Growing ever so impatient with the teacher and the fact that she was starting to feel woozy, she stood up and walked towards the door, an angry look in her eyes.

"See ya later, gang," she mumbled to Todd, Jim, and Evaine, escorting herself out of the classroom and into the corridors.

"He doesn't know what he's talking about, Bri," Jim said, trying to make her feel better. "He's just an ignorant prick who can't see beyond his nose. Don't let him get to you." But it seemed like Brieanne was still mad, and she ended up leaving the classroom. "Should we go after her?" Jim asked Todd, not wanting to leave Brieanne alone. Although he wasn't sure if leaving class before it even started was a good idea, especially with Evaine falling asleep next to him.

Todd bit his lip as he watched Brie leave the class. His brown eyes flicked over to Jim when he addressed him and he frowned in thought. "Man, I'm not sure..." He inhaled sharply, then let the air out in a long sigh. "I think...I think we should give her some space right now. I really hope she's okay, though..." he conceded. "We'll cheer her up later. She probably wants her alone time..."
